About Stone Mountain K9

Stone Mountain K9 provides structured, realistic dog training designed to improve communication, engagement, and reliability in everyday life.

Our programs focus on helping dogs become calm, responsive, and easier to live with while teaching owners how to build clear leadership and stronger relationships through training.

Training should be practical, rewarding, and enjoyable for both the dog and owner. Every program is tailored to the individual dog while emphasizing long-term results that carry over into real-world situations.

About the Trainer

A man stands with a large black dog on a grassy field, with leafless trees in the background and a partly cloudy blue sky above.

Nick Steinberg is a certified dog trainer and military veteran focused on obedience, off-leash reliability, and practical results using balanced training techniques. His programs help owners build clear communication, consistent leadership, and stronger relationships with their dogs.

His approach is structured and straightforward, built for everyday life. He guides owners through a simple, achievable process to set expectations and reinforce behaviors. The goal is a dog that is engaged, reliable, and able to confidently navigate everyday life alongside its owner.

At Stone Mountain K9, training is about more than obedience. It is about building communication, leadership, trust, and a stronger relationship between dog and owner through realistic, enjoyable training. Every program is designed to provide lasting results and give owners the tools to maintain success long after formal training has ended.

Why Choose Us

What makes your training effective?

1

Our training focuses on the root cause of behavior issues—not just the symptoms. By building clear communication, engagement, and consistent leadership, we help create dogs that are calm, responsive, and more connected to their owners in everyday situations. This isn’t about temporary fixes, it’s about long-term results you can maintain.

Do you work with difficult dogs?

2

Yes. We work with dogs dealing with reactivity, anxiety, overexcitement, poor impulse control, and other behavioral challenges. These issues are often connected to unclear communication, inconsistent expectations, or a lack of structure in everyday life. Through a practical, step-by-step training approach, we help owners build better engagement, clearer leadership, and more reliable behavior both at home and in public.

How is your training different?

3

We don’t rely on quick fixes or one-size-fits-all programs. Every dog is trained through a structured process designed to build clear communication, engagement, and reliable real-world behavior. Just as importantly, we teach owners how to lead and communicate effectively so progress continues long after training is complete.

What results can I expect?

4

With consistency and commitment, you can expect a dog that listens, remains calm under distraction, and can be confidently handled in everyday situations. Our goal is not just obedience during sessions—but a reliable dog at home, in public, and off-leash when ready.
